PUTTING SARAWAK ON THE WORLD MAP

The Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM), was finally opened to the public on 9 March 2022. Within a short time span of one month, the Museum has received over 60,000 visitors and it has garnered positive comments on various social media platforms since its inception.

Fitting out BCM’s 70,000 sq ft galleries has proven to be a delicate and challenging task. Our team of contractors started work in December 2019 and the site was locked down several times due the Covid-19 pandemic. However, with great teamwork from all our contractors and client’s support, this second largest museum in Southeast Asia was fully completed in early 2022.

The BCM’s exhibits are uniquely Borneo with some dating back to 37,000 years. However, the galleries that spread over 4 floors offer many immersive experiences including the latest in interactive digital technology, especially in the Children’s Gallery.

This is truly an experiential museum that appeals to all ages, both locals and visitors alike and we are proud to be part of it.
